GEORGE  W.  BUSH  RALLY

 Several  members of the Alleghany County Republican Party attended a rally and Town Meeting presided by President George W. Bush at the Merchandise Mart in Charlotte, NC on September 17, 2004.  The President outlined the accomplishments of his administration and his future plans when re-elected on November 2nd.

 Several other dignitaries participated in the event including Senator Elizabeth Dole and Congressman Richard Burr.   The audience cheered the President time and time again during his presentation.

Those attending from Alleghany   County  included Bev and Joe Jones, Sophie and Rudy Lehle, Elizabeth Perot, and Richard Carter. Jack and Pat Moncrief from Ashe County were also part of the entourage.

Senator Patrick Ballantine, Republican candidate for governor, stressed the need for fiscal responsibility in state government. He urged the crowd to not only vote for him but also to help re-elect President G.W. Bush
