| SPARTA, May 13, 2004 - Experience counts! Fifty-six years old, Jack Conaway of Sparta
has spent most of his life providing public service. His experience includes
honorable service in the United States Air Force; working as a provider, researcher and
educator of emergency medical services; government budget and management control; and as a
community planner. Jack was a Dean's List scholar at the University of Central
Florida where he earned a BA in Sociology and also studied Public Policy. Jack is
married to the former Wanda Bridges of Boiling Springs, NC. Wanda is employed as a
staff nurse at Wake Forest University - Baptist Medical Center Emergency Department. They
have a son, Paul, who is a student and proud Security Force Airman with the North Carolina
Air National Guard.
This is a very important time for our communities and state. Fostering the conditions
needed for economic recovery, providing the best possible educational resources for our
children and workforce, as well as meeting our needs for homeland security are issues that
demand our immediate focus and attention. When elected, Jack Conaway will represent the
needs and interest of the citizen of Alleghany and western Surry Counties. |
