Subject: Alleghany County Republicans - March Meeting
Dear Friends,
Mark your calendars for our March meeting. As you know, we had to cancel our Feb. meeting
because of snowy weather. So, we plan to have a combined agenda for the meeting (Two
meetings in one!) Come and join us for fun and fellowship at this special Republican
event. Following are some details:
What: A Lincoln's Birthday Dinner and Celebration (originally scheduled for Feb. 12); a
Silent Auction, and the County/Precinct Convention meeting.
When: March 11, 2004 at 6:00PM
Where: Alleghany County Senior Center in Sparta
There is a free dinner - sandwiches and homemade desserts.
Silent Auction - please bring something for the auction! We are
asking for small items that will not be a burden on anyone. Here are some suggestions: a
used book, a coffee mug, a jar of homemade jam, a dish of homemade cookies, etc. Hey, use
your imagination!
We will recognize an individual who has contributed much time
and effort to our local party.
We will have our County/ Precinct convention.
Meet the candidates in the 2004 election. We are asking that
each candidate make some reference to Lincoln, such as a quote, in their presentations.
We look forward to seeing you on March 11.
Sincerely,
Joe Jones |
